From Eric Mauricette, our Cobscook Bay Race Coordinator:
After much consideration and watching events unfold concerning Covid -19th, we have made the decision to cancel the 29th Cobscook Bay Road Race on June 6th and in its place hold a new challenge for runners and supporters.
The decision is made not only for the health of our volunteers and participants, but also for the community. In this time of uncertainty and keeping the streak of 29 years of running Cobscook, Bold Coast Runners will host Cobscook Bay Challenge Races 2020.
This challenge will allow runners and walkers to continue to support Down East Hospice Volunteers during these uncertain and challenging times. We will be in contact with registered participants and provide updates on our website and Facebook page with pertinent information in the coming days about the new Cobscook Bay Challenge.
For runners who are currently pre-registered, the options available are to donate the entry fee to DEHV, obtain a refund, or Opt to the Challenge. Please click on the LEARN MORE button to be directed to the Cobscook Bay Races page to see how you can still participate and support Down East Hospice Volunteers. Be part of this creative alternative to participate in the Cobscook Bay Challenge Races 2020. Thank you!
*Once you are on the race web page, please give it a minute to load as a secondary page will pop up providing instructions for the new challenge. You will be able to register on this new page.
